I am an American travel-and-food journalist who moved to Ho Chi Minh City one year ago. I have written or co-authored 19 books for numerous publishers, as well as scores of magazine and newspaper articles. In 2016 and 2017, the North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA) honored me with its Gold Award for the best self-illustrated newspaper story of the year. I am currently teaching English in Vietnam to supplement my income. I have recently launched a blog site: travelsinvietnam.com.
