I'm a travel writer with more than 20 years of experience in culturally-focused journalism.

From my first assignment with the Tohono O'odham nation's pow-wow in Arizona to witnessing a shamanic ritual on South Korea's Yangtze Island, my insatiable curiosity about people, culture, and human connection has been my driving journalistic force.

I was once a fellow with The New York Times Institute for Journalism, and my work has appeared in the Times along with Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, HuffPost, Roads & Kingdoms, Time Out New York, Budget Travel, Fathom and many others.

A career highlight was serving as the U.S. delegate to the UNESCO-B NGO, Association international des critiques de théâtre, covering performing arts from Bulgaria to Gothenburg. Through that association, my work has appeared in Spanish, Portuguese, French and Greek.

I have an M.P.S. in global strategic communications from Georgetown and a B.A. in Spanish from Rutgers.
