Born and raised in Chicago, I have nearly three decades of journalistic experience covering tourism and travel, gastronomy, arts, music and culture, economy and finance, politics, health and social issues for international press and media. I've worked for Lonely Planet, Fodor's Travel, The Telegraph, Reuters, Huffington Post, Billboard Magazine, Time Out Athens, the Athens News, Odyssey Magazine and SETimes.com, among others, and have also served as Special Advisor to Greeceβs minister of Foreign Affairs, and to the mayor of Athens on international press and media issues. I am currently a freelance reporter, content and features writer, founder of TheGreekVibe.com, a site which focuses on Greek travel, culture, and hospitality, and I collaborate with GTP Headlines.
This is a great idea. More and more travelers are seeking genuine experiences, experiences that actually made destinations famous in the first place but are now quickly and sadly disappearing.

Thank you Gabriela. Thessaloniki is really nice and has a very youthful cool vibe. I think Athens - yes, Rafina for instance is great for remote work but also if you're up for it, the islands. Naxos and Aegina (closer to Athens) would be an idea.

I could easily say Greece. There's been lots done in the last few years to make lives easier for remote work. And what a perfect place to work remotely: sea-sun-great weather. I do it often.

Yes, indeed it is. Chicago has the so-called wind-chill factor which can add 20 degrees below the existing temperature. So be prepared. Have fun!
