Hello world!! I’m Penny and I’m a travel girl from Greece!!

I don’t quite know if there is a gene for travelling, but if there is, I have it for sure!

I love travelling because I come close to different cultures and fill my eyes and soul with images, tastes and experiences! I love meeting new places but also I love wandering in places I’ve been and loved! There is always something new to discover even in your hometown (I’m from Piraeus, the famous port of Athens)!!

I’ve created Penny In Wanderland to share my travel notes (I have a few…!!) and provide useful travel tips to travel enthusiasts! And why not to inspire others to travel and meet our wonderful world!!

In this blog you’ll find also art & culture, cause I’m an art lover and a museum geek!! 🙂 I love the masters of Renaissance (especially Leonardo da Vinci), Picasso, Dali and El Greco. And lots of street art, cause I love taking pictures of it!!

I love the small picturesque alleys, the old towns, the castles, blue and red colour, the blue and white of the Cycladic islands, our neighboring Italy (I’ve visited it more times than any other country and I could totally live there), white wine, aperol spritz and aperitivo time (I said I love Italy…haha), spanish tapas, historic cities, viewpoints where you can enjoy the whole city with all its glory. And I also have a thing with doors, windows, balconies and floors!! Did I mention I’m a huge basketball fan?? You’ll find me supporting often my favourite team, Olympiacos BC! Ok I like football too..haha…I watch every big tournament!!
