I have had a diverse tourism background in Hawaii, California and Switzerland and have held positions with hotels, restaurants, tour operators, travel agencies, incentive travel companies, and cruise lines. I taught hospitality marketing at Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland and have published applied sciences hospitality research, travel industry professional articles and many travel articles for independent travel websites.

Based in Lausanne, I am currently freelancing in a variety of travel-related activities and am co-founder of Outbounding.org, a travel community platform of excellent editor-curated content and discussions by members and credible authors as well as content creators who are promoting responsible attitudes to travel and who are respectful of other cultures.
