Couchfish is a daily newsletter of real travel stories about Southeast Asia from the creator of Travelfish.org. It's hosted on substack and offers a free weekly roundup, or a daily (for a small fee) subscription which helps keep Travelfish's website running.

"Each bite-size issue (around 400 words) will include a description of a day's travel in the region, including plenty of links out to other material to read. Think of it as something to take your mind off the news cycle while you enjoy your morning coffee."

I'm a huge fan of @travelfish and have been reading the (aptly named) Couchfish newsletter for over a year now. I enjoy reading the far-fetched stories (such as being locked in a hostel), funny anecdotes, and musings about Southeast Asia travel.

Couchfish will take you to many places and islands you've never heard of, and is well worth checking out if you want to keep in touch with Southeast Asia from afar.
