👋 Welcome to the Mappy Hour Community. We are a community of urban dwelling outdoor enthusiasts who gather monthly around maps, guidebooks, beer, and adventure stories.

Our goal at Mappy Hour is to create safe and supportive physical and digital spaces for urban dwellers looking to connect with nature, outdoor recreation and each other.

Our signature meetups happen monthly in cities across North America. You may find us at a brewery in Chicago, paddling on a lake in Seattle or listening to a speaker at a store in Manhattan: mappyhour.org/events

Hello everyone,

Sarah here from Mappy Hour - I've been a long time member of Travel Massive and am excited to share Mappy Hour with all of you. Mappy Hour is a community for people who live in cities and love the outdoors.

We host curated events both online and offline in cities across the U.S. Our goal is to make it easy for everyone to find nature by highlighting where to go, teaching skills to go safely and connecting outdoor enthusiasts to each other.

I'd love to hear what you think of Mappy Hour - and if you live in a city, what challenges you have finding nature that we could potentially help solve.

I loooooove the idea of this community! Everyone needs more of the outdoors and awesome activities in their life.

I'm so lucky I live in an area where I can do snowboarding, MTB, hiking, climbing, rafting, swimming, horse riding, and so much more in literally 20 minutes time. I bet I'd miss those if I was to still live in a big city. So, such a great idea, Sarah! 🙌
