The Horse People in Sandvlei

Cape Town, known to us as the Mother City has a long history, and part of that history are the Malay people that were brought to the Cape Colony as slaves. Their stories form a major part of our history and had a major influence on our culture.

Visitors to our city often focus on the scenic beauty and are dazzled by the fancy restaurants and hotels but it is the real people that make the Cape and Cape Town.

The fancy food you eat that is so Cape Town, the origin is from the Malay. I'm currently on a mission to uncover the "overlooked" Stories and people and to share them. The Anthony family are but just one remarkable family living in this city I now call home.

Through the trials and tribulations of being enslaved, not freedom of movement and religion didn't hold our forefathers back it made them even stronger, today Alhamdulilah Islam is over 350yrs strong and still growing
