🌮 Let's share our favourite meals we discovered during our trips!

Here's a few housekeeping rules:
1. Don't write anything mentioned so far
2. Give us your food critique, we want details!
3. More points for unique or remote places

One of my favourite meals I have had while travelling is Uzbek Plov. Essentially it is a fried rice dish with vegetables and meat, its hearty, warming and full of flavour.

Easy, Lebanese/Syrian food. Any sort of hummus with freshly made bread.

No question. Been to all the favorites - Thailand, China, Italy, France, etc - and love them all, but Lebanese is #1.

Oh, it was something else. I believe there are start-up food companies in Washington (the U.S. state) doing salmon jerky, too.

Here's my top three.

1. Thai food — my faves are Papaya Salad with salty egg, Nam Tok with sticky rice, and freshly cut Pineapple on a stick
2. Vietnamese Pho and drip coffee — has to be while sitting on tiny seats on side of a bustling street
3. This spot is reserved for when I travel in 2022!

1.Biltong from South Africa. Which is dried meat. Similar to beef jerky in the US, but tastier.
2. Truffles (From pretty much anywhere). Kalahari truffles from Namibia or Botswana are different, but really tasty.
3. Empanadas from Chile.
4. Herring from the Netherlands.
5. Steak from Argentina

What a delicious discussion: two of my favorites are dulce de leche, which I virtually added to everything in Argentina, and my new discovery pinsa! (viva Italy)!

I always love trying to order a latte in a different country. There is so much variety in the same drink.

Especially when you order a "latte" in Italy! What countries do the best coffee?

My favourite dish is Jollof Rice. Jollof Rice is originally from the Senegal /Gambia Region but it has different varieties throughout West Africa. Since I am biased, my favourite is Ghanaian Jollof Rice.

As a Jamaican, I'm biased to say that the flavours in Jamaican cuisine are unmatched. BUT! Mexican food is hearty and delisious. I love a good quesadilla with pico de gallo and crema.

I’ve never tried Jamaican food, adding that to the list!

I went to Pakistan last year and Desi food is spectacular. It cannot be compared to any South Asian restaurant I've tried in the west or even the middle east. The flavors are so intense. I was looking forward to every single meal.

"You can either have hygiene or flavor, you choose" I was told while I was there. Choose flavor, trust me!
